Hiking and Biking

PDFPrintE-mail

Hiking and Biking have become very popular on the Iveragh Peninsula . The Kerry Way, at over 200km is one of Ireland’s longest signposted walking trails and also one of the most popular.

Looping around the Iveragh Peninsula the walk goes in an anti clockwise direction, passing through some of the most isolated and dramatic countryside whilst avoiding the higher peaks by opting for the lower reaches of the mountain ridges.

There are of course many less challenging walks in the local area. The undulating and un-crowded winding roads in Kerry, combined with the magnificent scenery is a huge attraction to many bikers from many countries who decide to plan their journey around the Ring of Kerry, stopping in Caherciveen to sample the local traditional bars and restaurants.

Drying Room available.
